Many modern-day sneakerheads may recognize the Men's/Women's Adidas Ozweego line through its multitude of Raf Simons collaborations, but the Three Stripes is bringing the classic series of runners in a new direction during 2019, and the adidas Consortium "X-Model" pack is set to aid in those efforts. The silhouette represents ’90s Trefoil Brand footwear design via details like its noticeable midsole line, but adds plenty of modern-day embellishments for a compelling fusion of new and old.

Both pairs are constructed of mesh uppers interrupted by suede overlays on the forefoot and heel. Adidas Ozweego Shoes   Wavy TPU overlays exclusive to the Ozweego Plus wrap around the model in a semi-transparent Glow Pink. Elastic piping is fed underneath the overlays for added detailing and to secure the laces. These laces use a hiking-inspired speedlacing pull system that allows for quick lace-up. The signature chunky, Adiprene-cushioned sole unit rounds out the design as a nod at the original ’90s style.

The Adidas Ozweego Sale name has crossed paths with many a different design in the past decade. Most notably, it was paired with Raf Simons for one of the designer’s most recognizable footwear collaboration to date. Today, the model isn’t quite as prolific, but it seems the brand is attempting to reignite interest this year. Upgraded and given an additional “Pure” moniker, the silhouette’s latest release is something of an old trend retreaded.

The mesh upper takes on a bold neon green tone, while the adiPRENE midsole opts for a cool mint green. Buy Adidas Ozweego More neon green appears on the leather eyestays, but the rest of the accents opt for dark tones as a black neoprene heel piece, black leather tongue/midfoot overlay, and black Three Stripes graphic with ever-so-slight hits of burgundy help tamp down the look just enough. Translucent plastic tubing runs through the throat and all the way around the heel, and things are finalized by a black outsole with a striking traction pattern.

Along the ventilated areas — which sit atop the forefoot as well as direct profile — shades of white visually outline, their shapes placed between the greyed underlayer and the slightly cream-tinted exterior.
