As February is approaching, sneaker releases are getting Valentine’s Day-ready by dressing up in plush textiles, romantic imagery, and shades of red and pink. While still maintaining its classic black-and-white 
look, the Adidas Superstar Women subtly gets into the spirit of love through velvet materials and embroidered graphics.
Adidas Superstar Men most notable feature is the black embroidered heart intercepted by the trefoil emblem on the hindfoot. Although not easily detected at first glance, the black side stripes and heel tab have a velvety texture for a luxe touch ideal for Valentine’s Day. The heel tab also uses gold thread to embroider the adidas logo, rather than the standard white threading. Bright pink insoles finish the design to create an elevated classic that celebrates love.
Adidas Superstar Sale starts off with a Core Black smooth leather base and plush mesh tongue. Black also covers the sole unit to create a wholly black look. As for materials, the signature side stripes ditch their usual leather makeup for suede. Suede is also used to construct the mudguard—an unconventional addition to the model. Although mudguards have appeared on 
the Adidas Superstar Cheap twice before, it is only on this pair do we see the element used for a tonal colorway. To round out the look, logos on the tongue, lateral side, and heel are in Dust Purple to contrast the black used underneath.
