Last season, Jack Campbell had six starts and finished the season with a .915 save percentage, giving Steady Freddie some much-needed rest. With great movement within the crease and a quick glove, he’s perfect for the nickname Jack Be Nimble.
Most sports coverage in the US during the COVID-19 pandemic has meant photographers having access limited to the stands. We’ve become custom to bringing long lenses to try and make the best of a tough shooting position in order to accommodate safety protocols. Luckily while covering the TYR Pro Swim Series at San Antonio, photographers were able to gain access to the pool. Between sessions while the pool was empty, I was able to set up several GoPro cameras to capture a different perspective. The race in this photograph, the 100 Meter Freestyle, can be tough for photos above water. The athletes are motoring through the water so quickly that often the splashes of water cover their faces. Here I was happy to be able to illustrate Abbey Weitzeil’s strength, leading the competition in this preliminary heat.

On the ice Kane was the Sharks leading goal scorer last year (26 goals), with 14 of them coming on the power play as the team scored just 33 goals as a team with the man advantage. So his absence will hurt their chances to rebound from a bad season, but he’s got bigger things going right now. Seattle Kraken
Martin Jones was a little better, stopping 23 of 26 shots, and his team did his no favors with the plethora of penalties leading to the power-play goals. He slipped to 5-4-0 with a 3.96 GAA and .867 save percentage. San Jose Sharks
The Penguins can absolutely take lessons from the Lightning, not to mention the Blues and Capitals before them. If you want a more functional view of how Goodrow and Coleman made a great Lightning team even better, consider this great piece from Kent Wilson. Ottawa Senators
The Devils, who play the Rangers on Tuesday, practiced Monday for the first time since beating the Sabres in Buffalo on Jan. 31.
Among the teams with their seasons put on pause because of the virus, Buffalo returned to game action Monday, Minnesota and New Jersey on Tuesday and Philadelphia is scheduled to play again Thursday. Buffalo Sabres
